Our Style

At Marble Counseling & Consulting, therapy is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in both compassion and clinical insight. The work is tailored to support individuals in reconnecting with their strengths, increasing emotional flexibility, and moving toward values-aligned living.

Sessions are shaped by your goals, pace, and readiness. Whether addressing anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, identity, or emotional overwhelm, the focus remains on helping you move toward healing and clarity in a way that feels safe and manageable.

Integrative & Evidence-Informed Approach

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. The approach is integrative, drawing from a range of evidence-informed modalities to meet your specific needs. These may include:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed parts work

Somatic tools & Polyvagal theory

Solution-Focused Therapy

Mindfulness and Self-Compassion practices

Sessions are also informed by neuroscience, polyvagal theory, and behavioral science, with attention to how the nervous system shapes emotional patterns and coping strategies.

These tools are used flexibly, and no formal certification in all listed modalities is implied.

Trauma-Informed & Nervous System Aware

Therapy is provided through a trauma-informed lens, honoring your sense of safety, autonomy, and emotional pacing. You will never be pushed into content before you’re ready. The body is seen as a vital part of the healing process, and nervous system regulation may be a core part of our work together—particularly for individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, or high stress reactivity.

Brain & Behavioral Science

Sessions may include psychoeducation and practices informed by:

HeartMath

Neuroscience

Behavioral science

Polyvagal Theory

—focusing on the connection between nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, and emotional resilience.

Mind-Body Connection & Eastern-Informed Perspectives

For individuals interested in a holistic or contemplative lens, therapy may include elements drawn from Eastern philosophies. These practices are always optional and integrated respectfully in a non-religious, client-centered way. Approaches may include:

Mindfulness-based practices

Somatic awareness and body-based regulation

Grounded presence work

Buddhist-informed psychological principles

(e.g., impermanence, compassion, non-attachment)

These elements support deeper nervous system awareness, emotional regulation, and the development of present-moment resilience. Integration is always guided by client interest and clinical appropriateness.

Let’s connect and explore what’s possible together.
